We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Engineer to lead our NPI, yield and cost reduction activities in our semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role will play a key role in new product introduction (NPI), product yield & cost optimization and ensure outgoing quality. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, product engineering, ATE test and back-end logistics.
Key Duties
- Responsibility for all product engineering activities and will report to the Director of Production Engineering
- Owner of statistical analysis of data to support NPI, Production and Customer Return activities
- Ownership of end-to-end product yield across Dukosi product lines
- Central role in the quick turnaround of customer return issues, working within cross functional teams, to contain and implement corrective actions, and ensure appropriate communications on status internally within Dukosi and to end customers
- Develop Yield Management Systems and tools to deliver best in class functionality
- Co-Work with Test Development Team to approve release to production of test programs, by determining production readiness, using GR&R methodology
- Disposition products through an MRB process to ensure all products released to customers meets appropriate quality requirements
- Co-work with reliability team to determine appropriate stresses applicable to Dukosi products and drive root cause on any failures generated during reliability stresses
- Lead the analysis of characterization data to confirm ability to meet datasheet limits, determine appropriate spec limits to be used on ATE and root cause any results that do not match simulations
- Operate test equipment, debug test programs on ATE, create and execute DoE’s.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in high volume semiconductor manufacturing, operations & product engineering, with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, test equipment, FA techniques and data analysis best practices
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and influencing skills and can communicate with ease to customers, senior management and across internal groups
- Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement and structured problem solving such as 8-D, fishbone, and other tools
- Knowledge and experience of yield management tools and statistical analysis packages
- Experience in creating and maintaining SOPs for manufacturing and production
- Experience with Automotive standards, AEC-Q100 and zero-defect initiatives
- Knowledge of supply chain digitalization, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

- Strong skills with using statistical analysis packages, such as SAS JMP
- Scripting skills using JSL, Python, PERL etc.

- Test and Reliability hardware design skills are desirable.
- Previous experience of implementing custom wafer map handling with suppliers to accommodate defect reduction initiatives such as DPAT & GDBC would be advantageous
- Previous experience working with SiP packages would be advantageous.
