We are looking for an experiencedSenior Process Engineerto join our team delivering process design acrosswater and wastewater projects.
This role is suited to a process engineer with strong technical capability who enjoys developing effective treatment solutions, taking ownership of designpackagesand supporting the development of junior engineers.
You will play a key role in deliveringhigh-quality,compliantand efficient process designs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients across a range of projects.
The Role
As a Senior Process Engineer, you willbe responsible for delivering process engineering design across projects within the water sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producingdesign deliverables that meet safety,qualityand regulatory requirements
- Developingefficient and practical process design solutionsfrom project scopes and site information
- Communicating design solutions clearly withclients and project teams
- Directing and supportingjunior engineers and graduates
- Preparingdesign risk assessments,reportsand technical specifications
- Carrying outmass balances, processsizingand hydraulic calculations
- Preparingprocess flow diagrams, controlphilosophiesand commissioning strategies
- Ensuring designscomply withrelevant technical standards, professionalguidanceand water company requirements
- Ensuring project design changes areproperly implemented and recorded
- Workingin accordance withformal design processes and procedures
- Estimatingdesign hours and supporting project planning
- Attending and presenting atHAZOP, ALM, KM and other design review meetings
About You
We are looking for a capable and motivated process engineer with strong experience in the water sector and a desire to continue developing their technicalexpertise.
It’s essential that you have:
- Around10 years’ process design experience within the regulated water industry
- Strong understanding ofwastewater treatment processes and plant design
- Experience deliveringprocess design for water and/or wastewater projects
- Degree, HND or significant practical experience fromtechnician level progression
- Good IT and digital capability
It’s desirable for you to have:
- Chartered Engineer status
- Experience across bothclean water and wastewater projects
- Experienceparticipatingin or supportingHAZOP studies(ideally with experience leading elements)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
