Were looking for an experienced SeniorProject Manager to join our Project Delivery team and lead the delivery ofcomplex digital programmes across acute, community, and primary care settings.

Youll play a key role in supporting majorsystem priorities working across organisational boundaries to implementsolutions that deliver real, measurable impact for services and patients.

Main duties of the job

Delivercomplex digital projects to agreed time, quality, and scope, maintainingcontrol of delivery plans and milestones.

Supportachievement of defined benefits and outcomes, contributing to value andservice improvement.

Operatewithin effective governance frameworks, ensuring clear reporting, risks, andescalation.

Maintaindelivery momentum, identifying and addressing risks, issues, anddependencies.

Buildstrong stakeholder relationships, engaging clinical, operational, andtechnical teams to support delivery.

Ensureclear and consistent communication, tailored to stakeholders and governancegroups.

ApplyPMO standards and project management best practice across all workstreams.

Job responsibilities

Workstream/ Project Management

Leadthe successful delivery of designated digital transformation projects.

Establishand maintain appropriate project management frameworks to support structureddelivery.

Developand maintain clear, comprehensive project plans with defined milestones,ownership, and dependencies.

Monitorand report on progress, ensuring delivery remains on track.

Managerisks and issues within a structured framework, ensuring timely mitigationand escalation where required.

Resolvedelivery challenges and expedite appropriately to Project Boards or governance groups when necessary.

PrepareProject Briefs and Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) in collaboration withclinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

Secureappropriate approvals and authority to proceed with project delivery.

Planand manage workstream delivery using agreed organisational tools andstandards.

Ensureproject delivery aligns with organisational priorities, service improvementprogrammes, and wider NHS context.

Deliversolutions within the context of broader transformation programmes (includingEPR and service change initiatives).

Contributeto the development of business cases and funding bids where required.

Identifyopportunities for digital innovation and improvement that support programmeobjectives.

StakeholderEngagement, Communication & Change

Developand deliver effective communication and engagement plans tailored to a widerange of stakeholders.

Workcollaboratively with clinical, operational, technical, and supplierstakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Liaisewith Training and Change teams to ensure change management and trainingapproaches align with project needs.

Buildstrong relationships to ensure shared understanding of problems, solutions,and benefits.

DeliveryAssurance & Quality

Ensureappropriate testing (including user acceptance testing) is planned anddelivered in line with project timelines.

Supportbenefits realisation by ensuring clear definition and tracking of outcomes.

Maintainhigh standards of documentation, governance, and reporting throughout theproject lifecycle.

Policiesand Standards

Applyrecognised project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent)proportionately to project delivery.

Adhereto Innovate PMO standards, governance processes, and best practice guidance.

Leadership& Team Management

Leadand coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, often without direct linemanagement authority.

Providedirection, support, and motivation to ensure delivery objectives areachieved.

Linemanage and support the development of Project Managers and Assistant ProjectManagers where required.

Deputisefor senior colleagues on project-related matters as needed.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating project performance and outcomes.
  • Experience working with NHS clinical systems.
