Despatch Supervisor

Overview

Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business in Derbyshire which are looking to recruit a Night Despatch Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment and be confident managing warehouse or despatch operations on shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee despatch operations – Manage the smooth and efficient running of all despatch activities, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Lead the night shift team – Supervise and support a team of despatch operatives, allocating workload, setting priorities and ensuring high performance throughout the shift.
• Maintain health & safety standards – Champion a strong health & safety culture, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed across the despatch operation.
• Ensure operational efficiency – Monitor shift performance, address operational challenges quickly and maintain strong communication with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Performance reporting – Track key operational metrics and provide updates on shift performance, productivity and any issues that may impact service levels.
• Continuous improvement – Identify opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiencies and support the wider business in enhancing operational performance.

On Offer

• up to £45,000
• Shift Pattern – Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday – 6pm – 6am
• Week 2: Thursday to Saturday – 6pm – 6am
