The Trading Infrastructure Support Engineer will join a highly skilled team dedicated to maintaining the high availability and stability of company mission‑critical systems, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Build & Deploy platforms, as well as Research and Trading environments. This role involves providing L1/L2 support for globally distributed services across APAC, EMEA, and AMER regions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring all services and delivering responsive L1/L2 support to ensure maximum uptime.
- Rapidly identifying, assessing, and resolving alerts or issues—or escalating when necessary—to prevent outages and reduce trade flow disruptions.
- Engaging extensively with traders, external vendors, development teams, and infrastructure teams.
- Overseeing automated workflows, scheduled tasks, and recurring reports.
- Managing user requests from intake through closure, including approvals, updates, and documentation.
- Spotting inefficiencies such as recurring manual tasks or suboptimal processes and driving continuous improvements through automation and collaboration.
Required Qualifications (Rephrased)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on support experience.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills (preferably RHEL, CentOS, or OEL).
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Solid knowledge of storage technologies and protocols (NFS; GPFS is a plus).
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
- Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Background in monitoring infrastructure (ELK Stack and Prometheus preferred).
- Database administration experience (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience managing containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, GKE, or Helm preferred).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, and time synchronization protocols (PTP, NTP).
