Join a climate-focused energy tech scale-up building the software layer that connects distributed assets (EV chargers, heat pumps, batteries) into energy markets.
Their platform enables the grid to shift when energy is used rather than how much is generated, helping balance supply and demand as renewables scale, while rewarding end users for flexibility.
UK-led today and expanding across Europe, they are doubling their engineering team to build the core infrastructure behind decarbonised energy systems.
This is a hands‑on role for commercially minded engineers who want to build real products in climate and energy, not just write code.
About the Role
You’ll join one of four small, product‑focused squads working across core systems:
- Build and evolve backend services connecting devices to energy markets
- Work closely with squad leads and PMs to shape roadmap and product outcomes
- Partner with customers (OEMs and energy suppliers) to understand real‑world requirements
- Use AI tools in your workflow while maintaining strong engineering fundamentals
- Contribute to architecture as the platform scales across Europe
- Mentor junior engineers in a fast‑moving, high‑ownership environment
You’ll be measured on impact, building products that actively decarbonise the grid.
