The Role
Ever wondered who keeps the digital cogs turning while everyone else just assumes “the applications works”?
That could be you.
We’re looking for an ICT Applications Analyst to sit heroically behind the scenes, keeping our business‑critical applications, integrations, and SQL databases stable, accurate, and behaving themselves. You’ll be one of our go‑to problem solvers when applications misbehave, data stops flowing, or integrations decide to have a bad day.
This is a 3rd‑line role, so when things get complicated, escalated, or just plain difficult, you’re the steady hand that gets everything back on track, safeguarding the critical digital services people rely on every day. No pressure.
What You Will Be Working On
In short: keeping our digital application running smoothly, reliably, and without surprises.
- Supporting and resolving escalated application and integration incidents from the ICT Service Desk.
- Monitoring and maintaining application integrations, making sure essential data flows remain stable, accurate, and reliable.
- Diagnosing and fixing issues in SQL databases, including performance problems, data integrity concerns, and failed processes.
- Keeping applications on supported versions by coordinating updates and deployments using enterprise tools.
- Troubleshooting APIs and integrations across key line‑of‑business applications.
- Being part of ICT’s 24/7 response team for priority technical incidents.
What Are We Looking For?
We want someone who’s not just technically skilled but passionate about supporting end users, proactive in problem‑solving, always looking to learn.
- Strong experience supporting business applications, integrations, and data flows.
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases, including performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- The ability to diagnose issues logically and calmly.
- Experience working with APIs and application integrations.
- A methodical approach, good documentation habits, and an appreciation for doing things properly.
- A team‑focused mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across ICT functions.
- A healthy respect for security, data protection, and governance – because accuracy and integrity really do matter.
