Description: The Senior Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and analysing operational risks across the business using data-driven insights.

Department: Operational Risk

Location: Head Office, Chelsea House

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational risk data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery for reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver regular and ad‑hoc reports for Operational Risk, maintaining strong data governance and addressing business insights requests.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support self‑service data exploration and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Automate data transformation, reporting, and analytics processes using tools such as VBA, SQL, Python, Rivery, etc. to reduce manual tasks.
  • Identify emerging risks, conduct deep‑dive analyses, uncover trends, root causes, and provide data‑driven insights.
  • Support incident reporting, loss data management, and ensure data accuracy and integrity in risk‑related processes.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders in person and online to ensure alignment with business needs and delivery of evolving requirements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data processes, reporting frameworks, and risk management policies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials to improve data literacy and support teams in managing operational risk.
  • Support compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Provide support to teams across the business on using data to understand and manage operational risk.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in risk analytics, data analysis, or business intelligence within retail, FMCG, or fast‑paced consumer environments.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualisation and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, Tableau, SQL, Python).
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Ability to communicate technical insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change, and managing shifting priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Experience in fashion retail or eCommerce.
  • Understanding of operational risk concepts and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory risk requirements in the UK and Ireland.
  • Understanding of enterprise risk management systems and risk event reporting tools.
