Overview
Senior Internal Auditor | One of the UK’s Most Recognised Retail Brands
Work across a business that’s constantly changing. Not reviewing it from the outside, but shaping how it manages risk as it evolves.
You’ll operate across multiple functions and markets, working directly with senior stakeholders—from functional heads through to executive directors and the Audit Committee—to understand where things can break, what matters most, and what needs to change.
The business is a compelling backdrop too. Few UK retailers have pulled off a genuine turnaround story in recent years – this one has, driven by a period of reinvention across its commercial model, technology, and customer proposition.
You’ll also be part of a team building out its digital capability, so there’s real scope to develop how audit uses data and not just report on it.
What you’ll do
- Audit & business insight: Lead and support engagements across different parts of the business, focusing on the risks that actually matter. Distinguish between operational noise and structural issues, then present clear, practical recommendations – up to executive director and Audit Committee level.
- Data & digital audit: Build and apply data-driven audit routines. Develop testing programmes, work alongside data teams, and improve how insights are generated and applied across the business.
What you’ll need
- Fully qualified – ACA, ACCA, IIA or equivalent
- Experience in internal audit or a related risk and controls role (this can be in a large accountancy practice or within a relevant business)
- Strong stakeholder skills and the confidence to challenge where needed
About the business
One of the UK’s most recognisable consumer brands, operating across multiple markets, with ongoing transformation across its commercial and operational model to support their continued growth. FTSE listed and well performing.
