Location: Ealing or Staines (Hybrid working, with regular site visits required)

Contract type: Fixed term for 11 months, full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a VFM Analyst to join our Finance Transformation team, working closely with senior stakeholders to build robust reporting, benchmarking, and performance insight capabilities to help the organisation understand cost, efficiency, and value. You’ll play a key role in helping us understand performance, identify efficiencies, and ensure we deliver the best possible value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of performance and value frameworks to assess efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation
  • Develop benchmarking and comparative analysis models using internal and external data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Design and document repeatable processes to support ongoing benchmarking capability within Financial Services
  • Operate and maintain benefits realisation and savings trackers, typically using Excel-based tools
  • Produce high-quality reports to support target setting, performance monitoring, and executive decision-making
  • Support the Director of Finance Transformation on projects, often acting in a Finance Analyst capacity
  • Engage with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, and the wider business to gather information and drive performance improvements
  • Present insights clearly and persuasively to senior leaders, including Executive and Board audiences

More about you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) OR equivalent experience in a finance role
  • Understanding of Value for Money principles within regulated sectors, ideally including familiarity with the housing sector’s VFM Standard and Code of Practice (Highly desirable, not essential)
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills with advanced Excel capability
  • Experience producing clear, insight-driven reports for senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with complex or unfamiliar data and researching external sources
  • Persistent and resilient approach, with the ability to work through challenges independently
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to tell a compelling story through data
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams to achieve outcomes
