Overview
On behalf of my client we are looking for a Children’s Home Manager for the Thamesmead area. You need to be dynamic, ambitious and energetic with experience in managing residential homes for children and young people aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, and/or history of mental health problems.
Requirements
- Registered Manager’s award
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or a Level 4 qualification relevant to working with children, as well as in management
- At least 2 years experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year experience of supervising and managing professional staff
Responsibilities / Expectations
You must have excellent leadership and management skills, good organisational skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You must also have the ability to deliver at least a ‘good’ rating in the home’s first Ofsted inspection or maintain an ‘outstanding’ rating. Passion, drive, resilience and ambition.
Position Details
This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week and the salary is £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
