Role Overview

Join the friendly and dynamic theatre scrub team at Central Middlesex Hospital, working across 11 operating theatres in elective pathways including Urology, ENT, elective Orthopaedic, Colorectal, and General Surgical procedures. The role involves leading the team of Scrub Practitioners, ensuring smooth running of theatre procedures, guiding and supporting team members, and actively participating in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Scrub Practitioners to facilitate the smooth running of Colorectal, Urology, General Surgery, Ophthalmic, and elective Orthopaedic theatres.
• Ensure day‑to‑day operations reflect the highest standards of governance, clinical effectiveness, and care quality.
• Provide guidance, training and support to team members while actively contributing to patient care delivery.
• Adhere to trust values of professionalism, safety, and compassionate care.
• Participate in in‑house training and tertiary study opportunities offered by affiliated universities.

Qualifications

• Registered Theatre Nurse with extensive post‑registration experience in Colorectal, General Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, and ENT.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe and compassionate patient care.

Work Locations & Schedule

The primary site is Central Middlesex Hospital; occasional work may be required at Northwick Park and/or Ealing hospitals. Weekend and on‑call shifts are part of the position.
