Pathology Courier Driver (Bank)

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is recruiting a Bank Pathology Courier. The post holder will be required to be available on request to cover annual leave and other absences of the Pathology Courier staff.
Main duties of the job
- Provide timely and accurate delivery of pathological specimens within the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire areas.
- Work to a tight schedule and prioritise workload to meet laboratory deadlines.
- Maintain a current, full licence and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum two years of safe driving experience.
- Previous experience in courier/delivery driving within the North Staffordshire area.
- Previous experience collecting diagnostic samples.
Skills and Ability
- Work well under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively and accurately with all levels of staff.
Personal Qualities
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data quality.
