Overview
As Events Supervisor, you will support the Events Operations Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day execution of events, ensuring smooth operations, high‑quality service delivery and exceptional guest experiences. Your role involves supervising event staff, coordinating logistics and supporting the set‑up and breakdown of events. You will set and reinforce operational standards, enforce hygiene and safety regulations, and mentor a team of culinary and service experts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the events department, including set‑up, execution, and breakdown of corporate functions, weddings, conferences and private dining events.
- Assist the Event Operations Manager in managing event schedules and ensuring adequate team coverage for all functions.
- Monitor inventory levels of event‑related supplies and equipment, collaborating with catering and kitchen teams to ensure timely availability of F&B items.
- Maintain event spaces to five‑star standards in cleanliness, ambience and overall presentation.
- Greet and engage with event hosts and high‑profile customers, ensuring their experience exceeds expectations from arrival to departure.
- Handle client and guest complaints and feedback professionally, resolving issues swiftly and to guest satisfaction.
- Train the events team on luxury service standards, attention to detail and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in recruiting, training and developing the events operation team to uphold high standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching for the team.
- Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Assist in controlling costs and monitoring event budgets, including staffing, supplies and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service during special events and private dining experiences.
- Drive event promotions and packages that deliver memorable guest experiences.
- Ensure all financial transactions related to events are handled securely.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensure that all event facilities and equipment are cleaned, maintained and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume, and notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
- Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, responding courteously and promptly to all guest questions, complaints and requests.
- Solicit client feedback post‑event to improve service delivery and presentation quality.
- Analyze guest and client insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty.
- Interact with guests and clients to ensure expectations are being met.
- Ensure the security and proper storage of event‑related inventory and equipment, replenishing supplies promptly while minimising waste.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including support for restaurant operations when required.
Skills And Qualifications

- A degree, preferably in Hospitality.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in a five‑star property, with a track record of driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.
