Our infrastructure division is crucial to the safety of key civil infrastructure across the UK and beyond. Our specialist team are experts not only in completing the most thorough inspections on critical structures such as railway bridges, but also in accessing some of the most challenging locations. From abseiling to diving, the skills and expertise of our team is impressive, meaning we can support our customers, no matter what. Inspire Structures is a specialist in the management and inspection of infrastructure assets, such as railway structures. We provide safety-focused, high-precision structure inspections, competency assessments, associated training, and engineering services to asset owners.
Please note, this role requires national travel and ideally candidates would be located in/around the following locations:
- London
- Peterborough
- Nottingham
- Manchester
- Leeds
Responsibilities
- Plan and undertake site examinations of civil engineering and structural assets.
- Identify risks and assess structural condition in line with relevant standards.
- Compile, review and submit clear and accurate condition and examination reports.
- Work under mentorship towards relevant STE competencies (STE2 and STE6).
- Champion health, safety, wellbeing, quality and environmental best practice on every project.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Examiners where required.

Requirements
- A Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering.
- A STE4 competency.
- PTS (Personal Track Safety).
- Good knowledge of structures, structural theory, and behaviour.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
- To be medically fit for rail work and hold the appropriate railway medical.
- Full UK Driving License.
