Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Tewkesbury

Employment type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000

Main Duties

• Leading and developing the Quality Inspection team, setting clear standards and expectations
• Taking ownership of product quality, including authority to stop production where risks are identified
• Driving a right‑first‑time, zero‑defect culture across manufacturing
• Leading customer‑facing quality activities, including non‑conformances, concessions, and investigations
• Conducting structured root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) and implementing effective corrective actions
• Analyzing quality data to identify trends and drive improvement
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior or lead quality role within electronics, PCB manufacturing, or a similar industry
• Strong background in customer‑facing quality and complex investigations
• Skilled in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience leading or mentoring quality or inspection teams
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Familiarity with IPC standards and audit processes
