What you’ll do as a Senior Engineering Manager at Vanta

  • Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably
  • Build a best‑in‑class engineering team – coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business
  • Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long‑term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities
  • Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer‑facing teammates to build and ship high‑value products and infrastructure
  • Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture

How to be successful in this role

  • Have four or more years of professional experience in a full‑time engineering manager role
  • Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality
  • Have participated in developing or driving engineering‑wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc.) in a prior role
  • Have prior experience managing complex, long‑term projects that touch multiple teams and cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Effective communicator and story‑teller. Able to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and adjacent teams
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work – demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
