Job Description:

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit an HSE Advisor to Join their Health & Safety team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in Walsall.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the provision of health & well-being within the business, under the direction of the business unit Director and Head of HSEQ.
  • Lead on incident investigations to identify learning and prevent recurrence.
  • Complete regular HSE inspections.
  • Provide accurate and timely HSE advice to.
  • Assist with the management of subcontractors via RAMS reviews and inductions.
  • Support successful onboarding by delivering HSE inductions.
  • Produce monthly HSE statistics for senior management.
  • Provide technical advice and support in the development of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Chair monthly HSEQ consultation meeting and lead on the close-out of actions internal and external audits, maintaining accreditation to ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO9001.
  • Support with the delivery of HSE-related information, instruction and training.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Ensure business-wide HSE communications are cascaded appropriately.
  • Promote the value of occupational health at a local level.
  • Keep local and corporate management informed on the status.
  • Monitoring, verifying & reporting HSEQ statistics for regions every month as directed.
  • Produce monthly HSEQ report for HSEQ Manager and Regional Lead, incorporating locally agreed information and content.
  • Monitor Regional HSEQ trends, highlighting areas for improvement and supporting Regional Leads on improvement deliverables.
  • Produce and cascade monthly PI posters with “closing the loop” information.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
  • ISEP foundation certificate in environmental management or equivalent
  • Familiarity with PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, L117, Work at Height Regulations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, heavy industry, manufacturing and/or hire and sales environment
  • Experience within the construction industry, including heavy civils and water sector would also be beneficial
  • Trained internal auditor to ISO9001/ISO45001/ISO14001 would be desirable
  • Clean Driving Licence.
