Children’s Home Registered Manager

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Up to £52,000-£62,000

Perks: Occupancy and Ofsted rating bonuses, 33 days annual leave

Company

Our client provides high-quality residential care, by building positive relationships and preparing young people for successful transitions into adulthood. They are now seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new 4-bed home in Nottingham.

Responsibilities

  • As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for the overall running of the home, ensuring that the care provided meets Ofsted standards and organisational policies.
  • Lead, inspire and manage your team to deliver outstanding care tailored to the needs of each young person.
  • Leading, supervising and developing the staff team through recruitment, training, appraisals and ongoing support.
  • Managing rotas, budgets, expenses and ensuring all operational and administrative requirements are met.
  • Overseeing admissions and discharges to the home.
  • Acting as the key decision-maker, attending meetings, writing reports and liaising with external agencies and commissioners.
  • Taking part in on-call duties and occasional sleep‑ins to support the running of the home.

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care
  • Proven experience managing a team within a children’s residential care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to maintain resilience while working with challenging behaviours.
  • A current UK driving licence and access to suitable transport.
  • Flexibility, reliability and commitment to high standards of care.
