Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor – Leeds – Competitive Salary + Benefits Package

Start Date: September / October 2026 (for September 2026 qualifiers)

Role Overview

A superb opportunity to join a Tier 1-rated Employment team in its Leeds office. The role involves working on a mix of contentious and non‑contentious matters, including:

  • Advising on HR and employee relations issues
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims and case strategies
  • Advising on TUPE and restructuring projects
  • Drafting employment contracts, policies and guidance documents
  • Supporting on corporate transactions and due diligence
  • Delivering client training and contributing to legal updates and publications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualify as a Solicitor in September 2026, ideally having completed a 6‑ or 12‑month seat in Employment law at a top‑tier or highly regarded firm
  • Strong academic background and solid grounding in employment law
  • Experience in both contentious and non‑contentious work preferred; applicants with experience in either are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A commercial, client‑focused approach with enthusiasm for business development
  • A genuine team player with the ambition to develop within a leading practice
