As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our HSEQ team with a HSE Advisor at our Central Scotland location.
The Natural Power HSEQ department are a dynamic team of professionals that provide internal support to the Natural Power Business Units and externally in support of our clients. The team’s role is to ensure all activities carried out by business are delivered safely, responsibly, effectively achieving this by advising, training, coaching, and auditing the business.
The role is critical to all aspects of the Natural Power business from a project lifecycle point of view from initial surveying through to asset management and operations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work with the HSE Manager to ensure the delivery of Zero Harm and deputise where required.
- Provide effective technical HSE advice, guidance and support to the business
- Engage and develop strong relationships across the business but especially within your chain of command
- Ensure that business activities are carried out in accordance with recognised industry best practice, Regulatory requirements and Internal Management Systems
- Undertake regular site inspections as defined in the Inspection Plan and produce formal reports using reporting software to record inspections.
- Undertake regular checks of risk management processes ensuring appropriate risks and opportunities have been identified and are being implemented
- Provide expert support to investigate incidents, accidents and near miss events in accordance to Natural Power standards
- Support client representatives on all HSE related topics
- Work with the wider NP HSEQ team to promote Zero Harm and the implementation of the HSE strategy including continuous improvement of performance through projects, initiatives and improvement plans.
- Challenge the norm by innovating and improving the way we work whilst keeping pace with industry change and promote successes.
- Develop and deliver HSE training where required
- Support HSE governance structure
- Sit on industry meetings and workshops acting as Natural Power representative as required
- Travel expectations approx. 30-40%
This is a Full-Time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
