This is a targeted entry point into a business development career — not a vague “sales role,” but a structured position with a clear 12-month pathway to Business Development Manager.
Your primary focus will be booking high-quality, qualified appointments for our field sales team. You’ll be the engine that keeps the pipeline full — researching prospects, making outbound contact, and converting interest into confirmed meetings. Do this well, and the BDM title is yours.
We’re looking for someone who is hungry, organised, and confident on the phone — someone who sees appointment setting not as a stepping stone to escape, but as a craft to master on the way up.
Key Responsibilities
- Book qualified appointments for the sales team through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Research and identify target prospects across agreed sectors and territories
- Qualify leads to ensure appointments are relevant and high-value
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and appointment logs in the CRM
- Hit and exceed weekly appointment targets
- Shadow sales meetings where possible to build product and client knowledge
- Work closely with the BDM and senior sales team to align outreach with commercial priorities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- A recognised qualification in business, marketing or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging environment for ambitious individuals eager to advance their careers in business development while contributing to organisational growth through innovative strategies and excellent client service.
Requirements
- Experience in a telesales, appointment setting, or outbound sales role
- Confident, professional phone manner with genuine resilience
- Highly organised — you manage your own diary and pipeline without being chased
- Ambitious and self-motivated
- Strong written communication for email and LinkedIn outreach
- Full UK driving licence (essential — you’ll be attending meetings as you progress)
What We Offer
- £37,500 OTE with uncapped commission (Starting salary 26K-28K DOE)
- Structured 12-month BDM promotion pathway — in writing
- Ongoing coaching, sales training, and mentorship
- A team that wants you to progress, not stay in the same seat
- Supportive, dynamic environment in central Belfast
