Job Title: Quality InspectorSalary: £16 per hourWorking Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:00pm (4-day week)

About the Role as a Quality Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our client’s team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality of output and compliance of products with customer specifications. You will play a key supporting role in achieving monthly sales targets by ensuring inspection plans are aligned with operational requirements.

The Quality Inspector will also support the Quality Manager with investigations and root cause analysis, while ensuring all subcontracted goods and raw materials meet required standards before entering the production process.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector

  • Inspect finished goods and prepare them for dispatch
  • Carry out in-process inspections
  • Support production with work-in-progress (WIP) and intermediate inspections
  • Assist with quality investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support inspection of materials received by goods-in
  • Create and complete quality documentation packages
  • Report outcomes of First Article Inspections
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation
  • Promote and uphold quality standards across the business
  • Promote and maintain health and safety for yourself and others
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team
  • Create Non-Conformance Reports and notify relevant stakeholders
  • Support external audits as required

  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes and documentation
