Royal Sutton Coldfield is one of the Towns across the UK that will receive up to
£20 million from the Government’s 10 Year Pride in Place Programme (PiPP).
The Role
This new role presents an exciting opportunity to deliver on the Royal Sutton Coldfield’s Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board’s vision for Royal Sutton Coldfield to be a thriving place where local people ensure that residents, businesses and visitors flourish together, connected by community, culture, shared green spaces and opportunity.
We are looking for an experienced, community focused project manager to turn this vision into a reality. You will play a key role in supporting the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board to deliver the 10-year plan for Royal Sutton Coldfield.
Reporting to the Town Council’s Head of Regeneration & Sustainability you will manage the delivery of the Pride in Place Programme, in line with statutory requirements.
You will act as a link between the Neighbourhood Board, the community and partner organisations, ensuring the priorities identified in the 10-year Regeneration Plan are delivered.
This is a dynamic, high-impact role combining all aspects of project management, community engagement and partnership working with public, private, voluntary, community and faith organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Royal Sutton Coldfield Pride in Place Programme projects to ensure successful delivery.
- Support the secretariat function including preparing agendas, minutes, Board reports and action plans.
- Manage and monitor the Pride in Place budget ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and the governance requirements of the Pride in Place Programme.
- Implement and manage a robust Pride in Place grant application scheme.
- Engage with diverse communities using inclusive approaches.
- Build partnerships and new opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organised and collaborative professional who can bring people together and deliver results.
You will have:
- A passion for community development and place-based regeneration.
- At least two years’ experience of working in a senior community development role.
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously, delivering to competing deadlines.
- Experience of supporting a Board and working within formal governance arrangements.
- A track record of using inclusive approaches to engage meaningfully with diverse communities.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and elected representatives.
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders from different sectors.
- Strong planning, organisational and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentational.
- Sound knowledge of governance, compliance, and reporting requirements within Local or National Government.
