Service Manager – Fire & Security

Hampshire

£50,000 – £55,000 + Company Car + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join a growing fire and security business, supporting the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive services across the South of England.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational and leadership skills to play a key role in managing engineers, coordinating works, and ensuring high levels of service delivery to clients.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the PPM and reactive service department, ensuring efficient planning, communication, and execution of works. You will act as the central point of contact between engineers, clients, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

  • Manage and schedule PPM works, resources, and timelines
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Monitor progress of works daily using job management systems
  • Raise work orders and manage subcontractor activity
  • Attend client meetings and provide updates on KPIs and contract progress

Operations & Administration

  • Maintain and update job tracking systems and databases
  • Review service documentation for compliance and accuracy
  • Prepare RAMS and associated documentation where required
  • Manage engineer time and attendance records
  • Maintain records of variations, approvals, and contract changes
  • Support revenue forecasting and invoicing processes
  • Produce quotations for remedial works and non-compliance issues

Team & Client Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for engineers, customers, and internal teams
  • Ensure smooth communication across all stakeholders
  • Support engineers with operational and scheduling requirements
  • Deliver a high level of customer service at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a service management, coordination, or scheduling role
  • Background within the fire and security industry
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing ability
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience using job management systems (ideally Simpro or similar)
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in fire and/or security disciplines
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures (RAMS, CDM)
  • Experience managing large PPM or service contracts
