Senior Financial and Sustainability Reporting Manager
We’re looking for a Senior Financial & Sustainability Reporting Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of up to £72,000 and a hybrid working pattern.
Job Purpose
To lead a high performing financial reporting function for the ICAEW Group, inspiring confidence in our stakeholders and seen as a trusted partner for colleagues in the Finance department and around the organisation.
The role supports the Financial Controller and Head of Finance to deliver high quality reporting, to ensure process are optimised and fit for purpose and to drive a culture of continuous improvement. The Senior Financial & Sustainability Reporting Manager will be required to collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to agree and affect positive changes in the Group’s reporting processes.
What you will be doing;
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of 2-3 direct and 3-4 indirect reports across group, subsidiary, trust, pension, and society financial reporting
- Oversee the production of IFRS financial statements and ensure delivery of statutory accounts and audits to agreed timelines
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including interim, final, and subsidiary/associate audit processes
- Ensure robust financial control through oversight of balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and monthly investment valuation journals
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, systems utilisation, and implementation of upgrades and efficiencies
- Support wider finance activities including budgeting and forecasting, technical accounting queries, ESG reporting, and development of team capability and performance
What you will need;
- Relevant CCAB accountancy qualification and strong experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Technically strong, demonstrable experience of dealing with complex accounting matters and application of IFRS
- Experience of leading, managing and coaching others
- Proactive and committed, with a real desire to help improve ICAEW and team performance
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results
- Able to inspire confidence from their peers and directors and build strong, credible relationships
- Strong process and project skills and an enthusiasm for continuous improvement and change management
