We are looking for a Bioinformatics Research Scientist to join our Bioinformatics Research team.
Title: Bioinformatics Research Scientist
Salary: £40,000-44,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and support analysis of registry data, developing novel methodologies and algorithms for analysis when needed
- Develop modules for our population genetics toolset and support translating this into production
- Apply best practices and develop unit testing to add resilience to the code base
- Develop web tools so different stakeholders can view results from different modelling scenarios
- Communicate effectively with both team members and stakeholders in the registry analysis project
Essential Attributes
- Bioinformatics MSc or Computer Science BSc (or equivalent)
- Experience programming in Python
- Familiarity with SQL and Nextflow
- Ability to work flexibly in both a team environment and independently
Desirable Attributes
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in web development
