Team Lead Physiotherapist Cardiff Community Resource Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Physiotherapist to join the leadership team in the Cardiff Community Resource Team. You will work collaboratively with the existing Physiotherapist Team Leads to deliver and develop the Physiotherapy element of the Cardiff Community Resource Team. We are looking for someone with significant post‑registration experience of working in Physiotherapy at a senior level, with expert clinical knowledge in the specialist area and clinical management experience.
You will also work as part of the wider Cardiff Community Resource Team, linking with Team Leads for Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetics, Nursing, Administration and Third‑Sector partners. There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to work cross‑site between the two service office bases.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role, Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Autonomously managing a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence‑based / client‑centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in primary‑care settings to include home visits and community facilities.
- Providing leadership for a clinical team, including responsibility for service delivery planning & evaluation, staff appraisal, supervision, induction, training and education.
- Participating in the planning, development and evaluation of Physiotherapy services within the Cardiff Community Resource Team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Contributing to the maintenance and development of the Cardiff Community Resource Team.
- Demonstrating a commitment to the education of Physiotherapy students, ensuring the maintenance of clinical standards through regular supervision of students on practice placement.
- Working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team and with primary care, voluntary organisations, local authorities and other appropriate health and social care sectors to negotiate care provision across the primary/secondary interface.
- Maintaining clinical records in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Physiotherapy at degree level or equivalent.
- Professional registration as awarded by the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of specialist training/courses to Postgraduate Diploma level or relevant experience.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of M‑level learning or relevant higher‑level qualification.
Experience
- Significant post‑registration clinical experience in a physiotherapy position at senior level within the specialist area.
- Experience of providing clinical supervision.
- Evidence of clinical leadership and assistance in planning and developing an existing service.
- Experience of teaching other disciplines.
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- NHS experience.
- Experience of presenting to a range of audiences.
- Experience of health promotion.
- Rota management.
- Involvement in developing professional practice, and transforming service delivery.
- Provided advice and support to other practitioners to develop skills and knowledge.
