Our client is seeking an experienced Quality and Health & Safety Engineer to play a key role in keeping people safe, standards high, and quality front and centre across our UK operation.
The successful candidate will be passionate about quality, health & safety, enjoy working closely with people across the business, and want to make a genuine impact in a global organisation with a proud heritage!
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems, supporting compliance with health and safety legislation, and promoting a positive culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.
Working closely with operational, technical, and commercial teams, you’ll ensure our products, processes, and working environments meet both regulatory requirements and internal standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining and continuously improving quality management systems and procedures
- Monitoring product and process quality, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Investigating quality issues, incidents, and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are taken
- Supporting internal and external audits and compliance activity
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures
- Conducting risk assessments, audits, and site inspections
- Promoting a positive health & safety culture through training, communication, and engagement
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and teams across the business
- Preparing reports and updates for senior management
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a quality, with good knowledge of health and safety, or a compliance focused role
- Capable of implementing ISO into our UK business
- Experience working with quality management systems and audit processes
- Relevant qualification in Quality, Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related discipline
- Excellent attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required
