This is a pivotal and influential role at the heart of our mission to deliver transformational, inclusive education across our academies.

About the Role

This is a significant and exciting opportunity for an experienced, values‑driven leader with proven Secondary Headship experience (although we welcome applications with cross‑phase experience). As a Trust Leader, you will operate with both strategic reach and deep professional credibility, working closely with Principals and senior leaders to secure sustainable school improvement. You will act as a trusted partner – offering incisive challenge, high‑quality support, and confident leadership – ensuring that improvement is not only achieved but truly embedded and owned by school leaders themselves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with a dynamic team of Vice and Assistant Principals for School Improvement, as well as Trust specialists.
  • Work closely with Principals and senior leaders across the Trust to design, implement and monitor improvement plans.
  • Provide strategic guidance and evidence‑informed practice to embed improvement cultures within schools.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including staff, parents and local authorities, to promote equity, inclusion and high outcomes.

About You

  • Experienced senior leader with exceptional educational knowledge and a deep understanding of statutory duties.
  • Strong strategic thinker who can also roll up sleeves and support day‑to‑day operations when necessary.
  • Excellent relationship builder, capable of working with complex, fast‑moving contexts and sensitive to all stakeholders.
  • Passionate about equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement at both personal and organisational levels.
