Mechanical Engineer

We’re Hiring: In-House Building Services Mechanical Engineer We’re looking for an experienced Building Services Mechanical Engineer to join their dedicated team in Hatfield . This is a fantastic opportunity to work across both Mechanical and Building Fabric disciplines, playing a key role in maintaining high standards across critical infrastructure and facilities. Location: Hatfield Shift Pattern: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm (rotating) The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide range of building systems, including: Air Handling, Chilled Water, LPHTW & Air Conditioning systems Fire Sprinklers, UPS & Emergency Generators Building Fabric: lifts, dock levellers, auto/static doors Monitoring BMS and coordinating with subcontractors Responding to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns Supporting installations, repairs, and ongoing maintenance Managing stock, documentation, and administrative tasks What We’re Looking For Mechanical or Building Maintenance qualification Experience in a similar Building Services role Strong fault-finding skills across HVAC, plumbing & heating systems Knowledge of PPM schedules and maintenance regimes Understanding of critical systems (sprinklers, UPS, generators) Basic IT skills and solid Health & Safety awareness Flexible, proactive approach to general maintenance tasks Why Join We offer a well-rounded benefits package designed to support you at every stage of life: Health & Wellbeing – Private medical options, mental health support, wellbeing programmes, and employee assistance services to keep you feeling your best.
