Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

We’re partnering with the world’s leading AI research teams to build and train cutting-edge security AI systems — and we need experienced practitioners who know how real enterprise environments actually work. As a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst, you’ll analyze realistic network and endpoint security scenarios, classify incidents and control failures, and help create the high-quality datasets that make AI-driven security systems smarter and more reliable. Your hands-on expertise is the signal that frontier AI needs.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
  • Location: Fully Remote

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, IAM, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure points
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and security control failures based on realistic operational data
  • Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
  • Clearly document findings, root cause analysis, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
  • Strong working knowledge of firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling
  • Deep understanding of how real organizations deploy, operate, and maintain security controls
  • Ability to explain complex security issues clearly — root causes, attack paths, and business impact
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or security operations
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
  • Background in security architecture, red teaming, or vulnerability management
  • Prior experience contributing to AI or data labeling projects

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside world-class research teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Meaningful work that shapes how AI understands and responds to real-world security threats
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
