Electrical Design & Delivery
- Lead electrical engineering activities across water and wastewater infrastructure schemes, including treatment facilities, pumping installations, and wider network assets.
- Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings in line with project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, legislation, and health & safety obligations.
- Identify safe, reliable, and cost–effective electrical solutions through optioneering and value engineering.
- Provide technical input through construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
Power, Control & Instrumentation
- Design and specify LV power distribution systems, MCCs, switchgear, UPS, and standby power solutions.
- Produce earthing, lightning protection, and cable sizing designs.
- Coordinate with control and instrumentation specialists to ensure alignment with control systems, instrumentation, and telemetry requirements.
- Review technical submissions from suppliers and contractors, including FAT and SAT documentation.
Project & Stakeholder Interface
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, civil, process, and control disciplines to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
- Engage with project stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, and operational teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, risk workshops, constructability reviews, and safety assessments.
Mentorship & Quality Assurance
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and developing engineers.
- Carry out technical reviews and approvals of designs produced by others.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of engineering standards, templates, and best practice.
