Construction Area Sales Manager
Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of construction machinery and equipment within a designated area.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth within a defined territory
- Develop new business opportunities and generate leads
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Promote and demonstrate construction machinery and equipment
- Build strong, long‑term customer relationships
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Carry out customer visits and site demonstrations
- Maintain accurate administration and reporting of sales activity
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven sales experience (ideally construction or agricultural equipment)
- Strong industry and machinery knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (face‑to‑face, phone, and email)
- Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and close sales
- Experience in account management and relationship building
- Confident conducting product demonstrations
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Experience using Google Maps or similar for route planning
- Full UK driving licence and ability to maintain a clean, safe vehicle
Additional Information
Location: West Sussex, BN6
Hours: 42.5 hours per weekMonday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm (1‑hour unpaid lunch)Additional hours may be required, including weekends on a rota during peak periods
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time, Salaried
