Forklift DriverWe’re looking for a reliable, safety‑minded Forklift Driver to join our client’s busy Works & Recycling Services team. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, this could be the role for you.What you’ll be doing Operating a forklift truck to load, move and manage recyclable materials, waste and other stock, ensuring tidy and organised stockpilesReceiving deliveries of bins and storing them safely and appropriatelyEmptying food stillages into the closed skip, washing and disinfecting stillages, and clearing spillages in the process hall using manual toolsOperating balers, sorting equipment and conveyor lines in line with safety proceduresHelping maintain a clean, safe and legally compliant depot environmentCarrying out daily routine checks and basic maintenance on plant and machineryFollowing all statutory requirements, Council policies and health & safety procedures — including correct PPE use and reporting concerns promptlyTaking part in performance management, training and development activitiesSupporting wider depot operations as part of a flexible, collaborative teamMaintaining awareness of traffic management requirements and ensuring safe vehicle movements on site What we’re looking for A valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift in a busy environmentSomeone who is safety‑conscious, proactive and able to work independentlyA team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on varied tasksGood awareness of manual handling and safe working practices Details Hours: 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday (including one Saturday following a Bank Holiday)Rate: £13.26 per hour on PAYE Accrued plus £1.60 per hour holiday pay equates to £14.86 per hour on PAYE AdvancedLocation: Barnstaple…
