We’re delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s largest and most respected manufacturers to recruit a Project Engineer for their flagship site in Wisbech.
This is a rare opportunity to join a global market leader that continues to invest heavily in its people, technology and facilities. The site is undergoing significant capital investment, making this a perfect role for an engineer who enjoys delivering impactful projects in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of capital engineering projects from design through to implementation and start‑up, working closely with operations and senior stakeholders. Projects range up to £5m and span new lines, cutting‑edge technology and site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver capital projects on time, on budget and to global standards
- Manage contractors, commissioning and equipment installation
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, R&D and supply chain teams
- Support budget development, forecasting and cost control
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified engineer (Apprenticeship, HNC or Degree)
- Strong project engineering experience within manufacturing (FMCG ideal)
- Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Hands‑on understanding of machinery safety, CDM and H&S legislation
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders and contractors
