Maintenance Assurance Data Analyst

Location: Buttershaw, Bradford. Hybrid working with usually 2 days a week, office based. Pending office move to Leeds from Summer 2026.

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The Asset Management team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

This role is responsible for the collation and interpretation of data from numerous sources for the purpose of monitoring, interpreting and assuring the delivery of maintenance activity, to collate and provide information on demand for internal and external stakeholders and to help seek out opportunities to optimise the strategic planning and definition of maintenance activity.

This role will build upon, improve, develop and maintain reports and dashboards routinely and ad‑hoc to aid stakeholders monitor and evaluate near real‑time insights into engineering and maintenance performance. The role will be instrumental in embedding data‑driven decision making through the combination of flat data, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop, improve, simplify performance dashboards for Engineering, Complex Maintenance and Engineering Design/Assurance teams
  • Build and maintain semi‑automated workflow management forms and reports
  • Develop and present timely reports on maintenance adherence to plan spanning various business units, asset groups, timeframes and engineering disciplines
  • Develop a deep and rich understanding of SAP S4‑Hana ERP and then provide technical support and advice on the system to Engineering people leaders and continuous improvement specialists
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders to ensure data quality within the company’s CMMS as well as asset condition monitoring platforms
  • Compile, analyse, and interpret CMMS data to develop and present accurate predictions
  • Gather and organise data from various sources, including maintenance logs, work orders, and sensor readings, to create comprehensive datasets
  • Analyse data to assist in identifying bad actors for equipment failures, downtime, and other maintenance‑related issues
  • Specialised tasks include data visualisation, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to recommend and implement data‑driven solutions to improve maintenance strategies, workflows and resource allocation
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of maintenance data analysis
  • Provide training and support to Asset Delivery personnel on data collection

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to degree level (L6 or above) in a STEM / data analysis subject
  • Demonstrable analytical skills
  • Ability to seek out information from a field of raw data, to interpret the information and provide intelligence to decision makers
  • Ability to work with SAP S4/Hana for reporting and data analysis
  • User of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Power BI, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in data analytical platforms
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative and self‑manage
  • Effective time management in order to meet stringent timescales, ability to multi‑task
  • Effective decision maker
  • Diligent and strong attention to detail

Preferred skills:

  • Experience working within an engineering, maintenance planning or maintenance delivery field
  • Experience working within the water industry across waste and clean water
  • Understanding and application of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence
