The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a successful and well-known high street retail business who are seeking a Data Activation Executive to work across a portfolio of well-known brands.

This role sits at the heart of the Group’s Customer Data Strategy and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in digital marketing and data-driven audience activation to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in turning customer insight into real-world marketing activity across multiple channels.

  • Salary: Up to £34,300
  • Hybired working with one day a week required onsite in Doncaster

Key Responsibilities

  • Audience activation – Build, refine and deploy customer audiences using Customer Data Platforms and tools such as BigQuery across channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, CRM, Display and more
  • Campaign delivery & optimisation – Work closely with channel teams to develop targeting strategies, optimise campaigns and ensure strong performance against objectives
  • Data & insight – Analyse audience and performance data to identify trends, improve targeting and drive more effective marketing outcomes
  • Measurement & reporting – Support the development of dashboards and ensure all activity is correctly tagged and tracked within the wider measurement framework
  • Data enrichment – Support initiatives to capture, validate and enhance customer data using first-party and third-party sources, including cleanroom environments
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Partner with Digital, CRM, Creative, Web and agency teams to ensure alignment on audience strategy, testing frameworks and execution
  • Testing & innovation – Contribute to a test-and-learn approach, supporting A/B testing and experimentation to continually improve performance

About You

You will ideally have experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on audience activation, targeting or customer segmentation. This could come from at least one major channel (Paid Search, Paid Social, CRM, Display etc).

You will be analytically minded, comfortable working with data and able to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies. Experience working with marketing platforms, customer data platforms and analytics tools will be important, along with the ability to manage and quality-check datasets. It would also be very helpful if you have basic experience with BigQuery or SQL.

This opportunity would suit a strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across marketing, data and agency teams. A proactive and curious mindset is key, and you will enjoy testing new ideas, exploring data and continuously improving campaign performance.
