About The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a consistently high standard of customer service by understanding customer requirements and ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication at all times. Acting as a central point of coordination between customers, warehouses, and transport teams, you will help ensure that deliveries are planned, tracked, and completed efficiently while maintaining accurate systems and documentation.
You will be responsible for
- Managing daily customer communications, ensuring all queries, updates, and call-offs are acknowledged and actioned promptly.
- Maintaining and updating stock and transport management systems, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Preparing and processing delivery and returns documentation in line with customer requirements.
- Monitoring delivery progress, liaising with planners and warehouses to track ETA’s and proactively update customers.
- Capturing and recording data to support KPI reporting, invoicing, and operational performance tracking.
About You
You are a confident and effective communicator who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work, even in a fast‑paced environment. With strong planning and organisational skills, you can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You approach challenges with a logical mindset and a proactive attitude, always looking for solutions and opportunities to improve performance and quality.
You are enthusiastic, resilient, and adaptable, with a positive, “can do” approach to your work. Comfortable working under pressure, you remain focused and composed while supporting your team and maintaining excellent customer service standards. You are confident using computer systems, have a professional telephone manner, and are not afraid to question or challenge where needed to achieve the best outcomes. Above all, you are committed, respectful, and a strong team player who values collaboration and continuous improvement.
