Head of ICT Cyber Security

Location: On-site (with travel to multiple sites as required) some flexibilityHOURS: Full timeType: PermanentCirca 65k plus car allowance (salary negotiable depending on experience) Our client is a well-established and operationally complex organisation seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead and shape its technology strategy. The Head of IT will be responsible for defining and delivering the organisation s technology vision and strategy. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure alignment between IT and wider business goals, while driving innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all technology functions.You will lead a multi-disciplinary IT team, oversee infrastructure and applications, and play a hands-on role in delivering projects, managing change, and supporting business-as-usual operations. This role also includes responsibility for data security, compliance, supplier management, and budget control. Develop and deliver the organisation s IT strategy aligned to business objectives Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of technology solutions Manage and mentor the IT team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture Oversee IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud services Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across IT services Lead IT projects and programmes, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions Manage IT budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) and ensure cost-effective procurement Ensure robust cyber security practices and deliver staff awareness training Oversee data protection, GDPR compliance, and risk management Provide regular reporting on IT performance and delivery Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role Understanding of a strategic level position so understand the daily technical side but let the team look after that but look at site Security plans and the bigger picture not just the day-to-day of IT support. Strong technical background across Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, O365, Exchange, SQL Server) Experience with networks, cloud technologies, and cyber security Strong project and team management experience Degree (or equivalent) in an ICT-related discipline ITIL qualification Circa 65k plus car allowance (salary negotiable depending on experience)~ Onsite working Monday to Friday working hours although flexibility is required/available (Please not, this is NOT a remote position)~ Discretionary bonus scheme~25 Days holiday, plus bank holidays rising with service~ Comprehensive benefits package including Life assurance, Health & Wellbeing schemes~ Free Parking – situated in a rather lovely part of South West Wales.~ Relocation package available for the successful candidate if required.~ We regret that this client is unable to sponsor work permits or work permit transfer applications….
