Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid, Dundee Office
Contract type: Permanent / Full Time
Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum, plus company benefits.
About The Role
You will be responsible for analysing thermal images and visual images and identifying potential issues in various building systems and components. The Thermal Image Analyst will work closely with other members of the team to provide accurate and reliable data to support decision‑making and property refurbishment activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Understanding of the DREam software.
- Cleanse and transform client data.
- Analyse, process and upload client data to the DREam software database.
- Review and make relevant changes to data in line with the EPC Standard Assessment Procedure.
- Learn relevant retrofit funding schemes.
- Deliver initial data meetings, data review meetings and training for client stakeholders.
- Feedback to the lead analyst on project status, workload, data trends, issues and anomalies.
- Analyse thermal images and identify potential issues in various building structures.
- Review and interpret thermal imaging data to identify patterns, trends and anomalies.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to determine the root cause of issues.
- Generate detailed reports on findings and present results to clients and team members.
- Maintain accurate records of analysis and ensure data is stored securely.
Key Criteria
- Previous experience in data analysis.
- Strong written and numerical skills, with a good foundation in English and Maths.
- Experience and competence in using Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Office 365 and confident in handling and interpreting data in Excel.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and plans.
- Willingness to keep up to date with the latest industry developments and technologies.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a housing association or local authority setting.
- Exposure to asset management principles or systems.
- Familiarity with energy assessment software.
- Experience supporting or delivering energy efficiency improvements in domestic properties.
