Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Level 3 Apprentice) – South Elmsall Warehouses.

Compensation and Hours

Basic pay £21.32 per hour, 15% nights premium, bonus scheme for a full year OTE of approximately £54,000. 42‑hour shift rotation covering days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Fault‑finding and diagnosis on a range of PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Analyse and resolve electrical and mechanical faults and perform repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and assist in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department.
• Maintain ASI and Profibus systems.
• Work at heights up to 20 m with appropriate training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Technician in a similar role.
• Experience with PLC systems.
• Experience maintaining pneumatics, hydraulics and conveyors.
• Resilient, able to work well under pressure.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible with a “can‑do” attitude and adaptable to changing environment and working hours.
• Computer literate.
