Gas Engineer & Heating Engineer

We are seeking a fully qualified Gas Engineer to cover Northampton, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a salary of £40,000 – £45,000 and comes with a van, laptop, phone, and test equipment.

Job Overview

Primary function is to complete gas safety checks and remedial work. You may also be required to install boilers, complete combi swaps or support other engineers on occasion. Additionally, you will diagnose faults and carry out installations to a high standard. The role includes flexible working hours up to 40 hours a week, normally between 08:30 and 17:30.

Requirements

• Experience in domestic heating and plumbing systems is a must.
• Up to date Water Regulations (Part L), vented and unvented qualifications.
• Familiarity with controls and wiring plans; electrical qualification (Part P) required.
• ACS certificates for appliances: cookers and ranges (CKR1), boilers and water heaters (CENWAT), fires (HTR1); ideally space heaters and warm air (DAH1). Asbestos and Legionella awareness training desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• Must complete a DBS check.
• Flexible to cover varying appointment schedules.
