Job Title: Lean Delivery Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000

Location: Hybrid working (2–3 days per week on-site)

Role Overview

The Lean Delivery Manager will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across a core business function. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role holder will be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, leading Lean initiatives, and ensuring sustainable, measurable outcomes aligned to business strategy.

This position will act as a trusted partner to Business Unit leaders, embedding Lean principles, improving operational performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of Lean transformation initiatives within a business unit, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Analyse current processes, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state solutions to improve performance and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver end-to-end implementation plans, ensuring initiatives are executed effectively and deliver measurable benefits.
  • Partner with Business Unit leaders to understand priorities and integrate continuous improvement practices into day-to-day operations.
  • Apply Lean and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. process mapping, root cause analysis, performance management frameworks) to drive insight and solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build Lean capability across teams and leadership.
  • Coach stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, to support adoption and sustainability of continuous improvement practices.
  • Track, measure, and report on performance improvements and benefits realisation.
  • Ensure consistent application of Lean standards, tools, and best practices across initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to senior leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and measure performance effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean tools and methodologies, including process mapping and root cause analysis.
  • Solid project and programme management capability.

Qualifications

  • Degree level education (preferred).
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement certification (e.g. Green Belt, Lean Competency System).
  • Project or Programme Management certification (e.g. Prince2, Agile, Scrum).

Experience

  • Proven experience (5+ years) delivering Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Background in Financial Services, with understanding of operational management practices.
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement and transformation programmes.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and delivering sustainable change within complex organisations.
