The bank runs a small, highly visible finance function, where regulatory reporting is central to governance, regulatory engagement and business decision‑making. The Regulatory Reporting Accountant will join a compact regulatory reporting team and report directly into the Head of Regulatory Reporting. The role focuses on the production, control and investigation of regulatory returns, operating within a largely automated reporting environment. It offers exposure to Bank of England and PRA reporting, close interaction with Risk and Treasury, and involvement in embedding regulatory change, including Basel 3.1.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of Bank of England and PRA regulatory returns
- BAU delivery of COREP and liquidity reporting
- Operation and ongoing maintenance of the regulatory reporting system
- Investigation and resolution of data issues, reconciliations and reporting breaks
- Support regulatory change and enhancement of reporting processes and controls
Experience Required
- Previous experience producing Bank of England regulatory returns
- Practical exposure to COREP, particularly capital and/or liquidity
- Understanding of bank balance sheets and regulatory data
- Exposure to credit risk and liquidity reporting
- Experience with Regnology / Vermeg (highly desirable)
