Naval Architect
Contract initially until the end of September 2026, with extensions, c. 2 days per week on site in Bristol with WFH. SC Clearance required, sole British Nationals only. DV would be highly advantageous.
This role within the Submarine Naval Architecture team, which sits within the Naval Authority & Technology Group, is accountable for the assurance of maritime key hazards, developing standards and guidance for safe and capable vessels, and conducting underpinning R&D, focused on the area of submarine propulsor.
Essential Experience/Skills Requirement
- Naval Architect qualified (master’s level or equivalent experience)
- Experience of submarine hydrodynamics
- Experience of ship or submarine propulsion (including V&V techniques)
Desired Experience/Skills Requirement
- Knowledge of acoustic theory and measurement techniques
- CEng and/or MRINA
Other Information
Hybrid and flexible working can be considered for this post but will need regular workplace attendance to access SECRET information.
Must be eligible for access to SUKEO data.
DV clearance highly desirable.
