Your new role:

Implementing information security within the area of responsibility:

  • Knowing, applying, and enforcing the Group’s security policies and IS strategy within the area of responsibility;
  • Organise IS risk analysis meetings with the business managers and keep the analysis up to date.
  • Report risks to ALTEN Group using the methodology defined by the Group;
  • Monitor progress on action plans and projects to reduce risks or meet identified requirements.
  • Manage security incidents, crisis situations, and continuity plan triggers in collaboration with the IT and Group IS teams;
  • Monitor and control the compliance to ISO27001 standards as well as with the internal and external requirements identified (normative, contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements);
  • Implement and monitor security indicators
  • Promote the IS culture through awareness actions
  • Plan and organize business continuity in the event of a disaster (Business Continuity Plan) in collaboration with the IT and Group IS departments. Manage the local operational crisis unit.
  • Participate in meetings with the Group ISS community

Supporting Business development and services to customer

  • Identify the IS requirements in contracts and monitor the implementation of the requirements;
  • Identify risks and escalate when necessary
  • Support pre-sales activities in the identification and understanding of security requirements
  • Ensure project management practices (service to customers) are compliant with internal procedures.

Continual improvement

  • Carry out internal audits and follow-up of corrective actions
  • Support of external audits (e.g. Customer, Certification) and follow-up of corrective actions
  • Support Process Owners for non-conformities or customer complaints through root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective actions

Ensuring compliance to Export Control restrictions

  • Disseminates information and develops procedures to facilitate compliance with export control regulations.
  • Verify compliance of the various projects with applicable regulations and company internal rules– provide guidelines for project population to ensure EC compliance.
  • Train and raise Export Control awareness.
  • Assist in the determination of export license requirements and need for Technology Control Plans since the pre-phase (bidder phase) to the end of the project’s life.
  • Support the interaction with suppliers, customers and key external stakeholders on export control issues and meet their expectations.
  • Reports EC related topics to ALTEN UK Chief Operations Officer.

Technical Skills:

  • ISO 27001 Lead implementer
  • ISO 27001 internal auditor (preferable)

Whom are we looking for?

  • We are looking for someone to implement, monitor and audit information security management and security policies.
  • First experience working in an information security or compliance team/within an ISO27001-certified Information Security Management facility.
  • A team player with the ability to communicate in an engaging & effective manner.
  • Flexible to travel From time to time between ALTEN sites for internal/external audits.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, and as the security officer, you must possess a strong security culture of following procedures.

This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.
