Powertutors is growing fast. We deliver high-quality 1:1 tutoring to SEND learners across the UK, including vulnerable students. The strength of our tutor network is what makes that possible. We’re hiring a Recruitment Specialist to proactively attract, screen, onboard and engage the tutors our learners need.

This is a hands-on, target-driven role for someone who loves the chase: sourcing on LinkedIn, following up on adverts the same day, moving candidates through the funnel, and making sure every tutor has a brilliant onboarding experience with us.

What you’ll do

  • Proactively source tutors in priority subjects and regions via LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and referrals.
  • Own advert performance end-to-end — write, post, track and optimise based on response data.
  • Respond to inbound applicants fast (within 1 working day) and run structured screening calls.
  • Guide tutors through onboarding, Enhanced DBS and safeguarding compliance so they’re placement-ready quickly.
  • Keep daily visibility of pipeline coverage by subject and region, and close gaps before they become shortages.
  • Build strong early relationships with tutors, monitor NPS, and drive 90-day retention.
  • Keep CRM data clean and report weekly on conversion, lead time and coverage.

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years in recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition or high-volume candidate / onboarding coordination.
  • Proven proactive sourcing experience (LinkedIn Recruiter and/or major job boards).
  • Confident phone presence and a warm, professional communication style.
  • Comfort working to clear KPIs and SLAs, and using data to improve how you work.
  • Strong organisation and CRM discipline — you treat data accuracy as part of the job.
  • A collaborative, relationship-first mindset.

Bonus if you have experience recruiting in education, tutoring, care, healthcare or another safeguarding-led sector — but it’s not essential. We’ll train you on the sector; we can’t train drive.
