Production / Assembly Technician

Driver Hire Winchester is currently recruiting for a Production / Assembly Technician on behalf of our client based in Winchester. Our client specialises in the manufacture of high-quality lighting systems, and this role would suit a technically skilled individual with experience in soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities Carry out soldering and wiring to a high standardComplete basic mechanical assembly, including drilling and cutting aluminiumRead and interpret technical drawingsPerform cable wiring, crimping, and soldering tasksTest products and carry out production inspectionsWork to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standardsCommunicate effectively with team members Skills & Experience Required Minimum of 2 years’ hand soldering experience (essential)At least 2 years’ professional assembly experienceAbility to read and understand technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityReliable, self-motivated, and able to work under pressureGood written and verbal communication skills The Package Competitive salary of £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysAdditional annual leave awarded for each year of serviceCompany pension schemeFree onsite parking Driver Hire Winchester is a recruitment agency providing staff to a wide range of companies across Winchester and Southampton.
