The Company

Our client is at the forefront of the engineering sector. Sustained growth is the reason they have a new requirement for a Project Engineer.

The Role

  • You will be overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects from inception through completion.
  • Ensuring that all project requirements are met, facilitate effective communication between multidisciplinary teams and drive progress toward achieving project goals while maintaining adherence to quality, budget and timeline constraints.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a project system to established standards relating to activities leading to the introduction of new products.
  • Review of client requirements and liaising with the clients’ projects functions in resolving any requirement/specification anomalies and variations.
  • Evaluating and prioritising work within the overall project schedule.
  • Control, monitoring of cost, delivery performance and quality of the project.
  • Develop and maintain project specific documents and procedures for work to be carried out.
  • Monitor and inform/communicate/apply standards created/maintained by external bodies and integrate within internal management systems.
  • Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Overseeing the various stages of development for a variety of products from concept to assembly through to dispatch to the client.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacting the project schedule) to ensure contractual requirements are met and all contractual variations are maintained in detail.
  • Create and issue weekly/monthly progress reports to the customer as requested/necessary.

The Person

  • Experience in a Project Engineering role within a relevant industry (high-value engineering, Oil and Gas, etc.)
  • Minimum HNC mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • A recognised qualification in Project Management would be an advantage.
  • Must be organised, accurate and self‑motivated.
  • Analytical thinking combined with effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
